When Bringing your Bike to Erdenheim Cycle and Fitness Center for service:

  • During bike season from the months of March to October, anticipate some waiting, from one day up to a week

  • Bring your bike in during our slower months and we will service it faster and at a discounted rate

How to get the MOST out of your bike!

To get the most out of your bike, you have to keep it in shape.  The last thing you want on an enjoyable ride is a frustrating mechanical breakdown.  We can help you get your bike ready for the road.  Our service department is professionally staffed and equipped to keep all makes and models of bikes running smoothly.

If you're a casual rider, we recommend the standard tune-up.  For you hard-core, all weather bikers, we recommend a general overhaul.

Tune up Minor
includes:

1. Adjust brakes and lube pivot points
2. Adjust gears; check chain stretch and lube entire drive train
3. Tighten spokes on both wheels
4. Tighten nuts and bolts
5. Pressure tires to proper PSI
6. Polish and clean frame

Tune up Major includes:

1. Adjustment of gears with new cables and casing if needed
2. Adjustment of front and rear brakes with new cables and casing if needed
3. Align wheels and adjust hubs
4. Degrease all drivetrain
5. Lubricate drivetrain
6. Tighten all nuts and bolts
7. Lubricate stem and seat post
8. Pressure tires to proper PSI
9. External lube where needed
10. Polish frame

**all parts, if needed, are extra

General Bike Overhaul includes:

1. Everything covered in the tune up major
2. Bearing overhaul, including:
       · headset bearings
       · wheel bearings
       · bottom bracket bearings
